Satayan Mahajan is a technology leader and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience building and scaling companies at the forefront of innovation.
As Chief Executive Officer of Datalign Advisory, Satayan leads the Cambridge-based financial technology company that connects Americans with trusted financial advisors. Under his leadership, Datalign connected over $40 billion in assets with more than 7,000 financial advisors in 2024 alone.
Before founding Datalign, Satayan spent eight years at Amazon as GM and Head of Product for Amazon.com. There, he led key innovations in the e-commerce experience. Earlier, he served as CEO of Motus Corporation. There, he helped develop the world’s first motion-controlled game controller, self-contained wireless motion-capture system, and patented technologies in motion recognition.
An MIT alumnus and Media Lab pioneer, Satayan holds patents across audio, social media, and motion analysis. He has judged the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition since 2005, mentors startups, and lectures at MIT on entrepreneurship and innovation. His experience spans gaming, wearables, financial technology, MEMS, and beyond.
